My friend texted me a couple weeks ago and said she was planning a trip to wine country (California) and was wondering if I wanted to join. I checked my calendar and I had marked the same day for a "Napa Trip" as well! We decided to combine forces … which ended up being I just joined them to celebrate one of their birthdays. And by joining them I mean I planned the entire trip and drove them to Napa. We had planned on stopping at 3 wineries but we hit so much traffic that we only made it to 2. Our 2nd (and final) stop was at Pride Mountain Winery. Several years ago they decided to forgo the traditional tasting in their tasting room and instead decided to take visitors into their caves and taste their wine amongst the barrels in a laid back atmosphere. I absolutely love this and that's why I brought them to Pride (not to mention the wine is delicious).
Pride has a VIP room that can be rented out for parties and we were allowed to come in and take a peak during our tour. I immediately thought 'THIS ROOM IS AMAZING -- I need to do an HDR of this!" Yes, it's another HDR, but I wanted this photo to be kinda artsy, with the wood colors really popping -- kinda like some of the stuff Trey Ratcliff posts. Unfortunately I left the tripod at home so I had to bump the ISO up to 1600 and take this handheld. Came out pretty good though, after some heavy fixing in Photoshop!
