One summer evening Willie and I saw clouds in the sky and decided to head out to Alviso to see if we could find something decent to photograph at sunset. We never actually made it to our destination because we found a salt-flat first! This place reminded us so much of Death Valley that as soon as we saw it we knew we had to photograph this place. We searched around for a while, trying to find the lines that we wanted and then waited for the sun to set.
I liked this formation of salt because it kind of looked like a creature running. You can see it's legs in the bottom, and perhaps an arm or two coming out of it. Unfortunately we didn't get the bright colors we had been hoping for, but rather a dull orange and purple glow. This is a spot we'll definitely have to come back to!
